A Picture Perfect Picnic Wedding

This wedding was a gift for each of us. In April 2021 we need something communal - a chance for an intergenerational community to share food, share laughter, share ideas, to toast to a bright future, to believe in a bright future. This wedding was a breathe of fresh air at a time when we were so afraid to breathe….

An incredible vendor team that made this day memorable. The amazing coordinator, Emily Izakowitz of Events by Emily lent her relaxed, calm energy and expertise. Anna Ward Photography captured the many authentic moments from behind her camera. Benchwarmer’s bagels offered an absolutely delicious lunch of sandwiches, salads and more, served up in a picnic basket. Wylde Flowers lent the perfect, gorgeous floral creations. Rentals from American Party Rentals helped provide the atmosphere. And those BEAUTIFUL threads? The bride’s wearing a Lillian West dress from Maggi Bridal and groom is wearing a suit from Bonobos.

The bride and groom and I met to discuss their day for the first time around a campfire, bundled in blankets to keep socially distanced while creating as much of a welcoming atmosphere as possible. We were able to open up, talk about life, love, philosophy, which set us up to feel incredibly comfortable on the big day. The groom and I took grounding breaths together before walking up and officially getting that knot tied… literally. Because we included hand tying ceremony :)
